Mr Staveley and Mr Morgan are well known figures in the King’s Lynn and Hunstanton area, having practised law in West Norfolk for nearly 90 years between them. Mr Staveley’s father also practised locally from 1948 until his retirement. Mr Staveley is still a practising Solicitor working two days a week and will have a consultancy base at our Fakenham Office, whilst Mr Morgan is joining in an advisory role to add his extensive knowledge of the local legal scene to that of John Gethin, who is also a consultant with Hayes + Storr. Senior Partner of Hayes + Storr, Iain MacBrayne commented: “To be a truly effective solicitor in Norfolk one needs to have indepth local knowledge. Sam, Michael and John have nearly 150 years of local experience between them and have a great insight into the commercial side of West Norfolk. This, added to the wealth of experience already within Hayes + Storr, enables us to offer a unique service to our clients.” One of the resident Lynn partners, Margaret Taylor, author of two books on legal issues for the elderly, commented that: “These associations will be invaluable. Their wide experience will assist the Private Client team, the Property, Commercial and Planning Law teams and the firm’s recently launched Agriculture Team which is headed by Mr Morgan’s son, James.” The various Hayes + Storr teams incorporate lawyers from all five offices across North and West Norfolk. Commenting on his move Mr Staveley said: “I’m delighted to be associated with Hayes + Storr. I have many clients who I, and sometimes my father before me, have looked after for many years. The expertise of Hayes + Storr gives me confidence that the affairs of both my private and commercial clients will be in safe hands when I eventually retire.” |
