What is a Family Mediator?

A Family Mediator is trained to help people resolve disputes after separation or divorce.  A Mediator will help you identify the issues of conflict between you and help you resolve them whilst remaining impartial.  Mediation can help you at any stage of your separation.  A Mediator does not tell you what to do or what decisions to make.  It is about making your own decisions to resolve the conflict and deciding what is best for you and your family so you can all make the most of your lives.  Mediation can avoid costly emitionally and financially Court proceedings.  It doesn't matter how long ago it is since you separated or if you have already been to see a solicitor or been to Court.  You do not have to be referred to a Mediator by a solicitor. You can contact the Mediator directly rather than going to see a solicitor first.

We offer a free introductory session which can be joint or separate, whichever you would prefer.  If you then decide that mediation might be helpful then further sessions can be planned.
