Children’s Art Packs for the Foodbank Appeal 2024

This Christmas, we are delighted to join The Arts Society King’s Lynn (TASKL) in their inspiring project to provide children’s art packs for distribution through the King’s Lynn Foodbank.

This wonderful initiative began during the pandemic, as TASKL members sought to bring joy and creativity to children facing challenging circumstances. The idea quickly gained momentum, and thanks to the generosity of local businesses, individuals, and TASKL volunteers, the project has grown year on year. What started with 50 art packs has expanded to 200, with hopes to increase this number in the future.

The art packs, thoughtfully tailored to different age groups, are filled with supplies to spark creativity and imagination. They are distributed in reusable fabric bags, many of which are lovingly sewn by TASKL members and volunteers. Additional materials are purchased from supportive suppliers to ensure each child receives a complete and exciting pack.

Hayes + Storr is honoured to contribute to this effort alongside other local businesses, including Learning Resources, Shan’s Fabrics of Hunstanton, and Abeec Toys. Together, we’ve helped make this year’s target of 200 art packs a reality.

The 2024 project culminated on 2nd December, when the art packs were distributed through the King’s Lynn Foodbank with TASKL members and Mel Robson from Hayes + Storr. It’s heartening to know that this project has also inspired other Arts Societies across the country to undertake similar efforts.

This holiday season, we’re reminded of the power of community and the importance of giving back.
