Hayes + Storr expands support for elderly and vulnerable clients across Norfolk
With its peaceful villages, scenic coastline and strong sense of community, Norfolk has long been a popular place to retire. However, while life in the county offers many rewards, growing older without close family nearby can bring considerable challenges.
With this in mind, Hayes + Storr Solicitors is proud to announce a series of recent developments within its Elderly and Vulnerable Client Services Team, reflecting the firm’s ongoing commitment to supporting older and more vulnerable people and their families across Norfolk.
In Holt, the team will now be led by experienced lawyer Laura Weston, supported by colleagues at the office including Charlotte Lynskey, who has recently been promoted to Paralegal, and overseen by Director Miranda Marshall. Clients in King’s Lynn will continue to benefit from dedicated local support under the supervision of Director Robert Howliston. The Sheringham team has also expanded following the promotion of Emma Langley to Director and the arrival of Paralegal Joanna Chander, who both bring additional expertise to the community.
“Laura’s promotion is richly deserved,” Miranda comments. “She brings warmth, professionalism and expertise to her work, so we’re delighted she’ll be leading the team as we continue to expand our services for elderly and vulnerable clients.”
Together, these appointments reflect Hayes + Storr’s strategy of ensuring that these services are accessible across the county.
Non-Legal Support
As well as providing expert legal advice on matters such as Wills, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection applications and Estate Administration, the team also offers a unique blend of practical, non-legal support to help clients maintain their independence.
This can include managing household finances, support with benefit claims, securing homes when clients are in hospital or respite care, arranging care or domestic help, and maintaining properties and gardens.
Reflecting on her promotion, Laura Weston looks forward to strengthening the services Hayes + Storr provides.
“It’s a privilege to step into this new role,” she says. “Our aim is not just to offer legal expertise, but also to give clients and their families reassurance and peace of mind. Treating every client with kindness, dignity and respect is at the heart of what we do.”
Commitment to Excellence
Hayes + Storr is proud that many of its lawyers hold specialist accreditations from The Association of Lifetime Lawyers (formerly Solicitors for the Elderly) and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), reflecting the high standards of care and professionalism the firm brings to its work.
With senior solicitors led by Miranda Marshall, Robert Howliston and Emma Langley continuing to provide expert guidance, and a growing team of dedicated lawyers across Holt, King’s Lynn, Sheringham, Fakenham and Swaffham, Hayes + Storr is ensuring people across Norfolk can access trusted, local support whenever it’s needed most.
