Children Paralegal

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Children’s Paralegal to support our busy and growing Children’s Law team. The role offers exposure to a varied caseload, including both public law legal aid matters and private children work, providing an excellent opportunity to develop specialist knowledge and practical experience in this rewarding area of law.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced solicitors, assisting on matters including care proceedings, pre-proceedings work, child arrangements disputes, special guardianship applications, and other children-related matters. There is scope for the successful candidate to become an independent fee earner in their own right.

Location: Norwich or Fakenham

Area of Practice: Family / Children’s Law

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Contract: Full-time, Permanent, 9:00 – 17:00

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, Caseworker, or similar role within family or childcare law desirable.
• Experience of public law children work, and Legal Aid Agency procedures would be advantageous.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
• A professional, empathetic, and client-focused approach.
• A genuine interest in developing a career in childcare and family law.
