Private Client Solicitor

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and client-focused Private Client Lawyer to join our dynamic team in Sheringham. Location: Burnham House, 57-63 Station Road, Sheringham, Norfolk, NR26 8RG
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: Full-time / Part Time Considered
Type: Hybrid available with requirement for 2 – 3 days in office
Key Responsibilities:
You will manage a varied caseload of private client matters while providing an excellent level of service to clients. This is an ideal role for someone looking to further develop their expertise and progress their career.
• Providing expert legal advice on a wide range of private client matters, including
• Wills and Estate Planning,
• Lasting Powers of Attorney,
• Probate and estate administration,
• Trust and inheritance tax planning.
• Manage and develop a caseload with minimal supervision, ensuring a high level of client care and legal expertise.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering bespoke and empathetic advice tailored to individual needs.
• Support and mentor junior team members as needed, contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
• Stay informed of changes in relevant laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and providing up-to-date advice to clients
• Participate in business development activities to promote the firm and expand the private client department, including attending networking events, developing referral relationships, and providing content for legal articles.
Requirements
• Qualified solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a valid practicing certificate in England and Wales.
• Ideally 3 years PQE experience in private client.
• STEP qualification or working towards STEP accreditation is highly desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work to deadlines, both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
• A proactive, adaptable, and compassionate approach to client care.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as travel between offices and to client meetings may be required.
• Ambitious, proactive, and eager to contribute to the success of the department.
