Residential Property Paralegal

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented experienced Residential Property Paralegal to join our well-established and reputable law firm in Sheringham. The successful candidates will provide vital support to our solicitors and fee earners, managing a varied caseload conduct legal research, draft documents, maintain client communications, and contribute to the smooth running of the department.

This role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, ensuring that all legal processes run smoothly.

Location: Burnham House, 57-63 Station Road, Sheringham, Norfolk NR26 8RG
Areas of Practice: Residential Property
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: Full-time, 9:00 – 17:00

Key Responsibilities:

You will work closely with fee earners and solicitors, supporting a busy residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion and post-completion.
• Assisting with residential property transactions including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, and new builds
• Opening and closing files in accordance with firm procedures
• Drafting and reviewing legal documents, contracts, and completion statements
• Carrying out title checks and searches
• Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors
• Managing post-completion matters including SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory and AML requirements
• Providing general administrative support to the conveyancing team

Requirements:

• Previous experience in residential conveyancing within a UK solicitors’ firm
• Good understanding of the conveyancing process from start to finish
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
• Excellent communication and client care skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Proficient in case management systems and Microsoft Office
• A proactive and team-focused approach
• Excellent time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
