Senior Agricultural – Commercial Property Solicitor
We are a well-established, forward-thinking law firm with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality legal services across the agricultural and commercial property sectors. As our client base continues to grow, we are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Solicitor to join our dynamic team.
As a Senior Agricultural and / or Commercial Property Solicitor, you will manage your own varied caseload while contributing to the continued development of the department. You will work closely with farmers, landowners, rural businesses, developers, investors, and commercial clients, offering strategic and commercially focused legal advice.
Location: Either Fakenham, Holt, Sheringham, King’s Lynn, or Swaffham
Salary: Competitive, plus benefits
Hours: Full-time / Part Time Considered
Type: Hybrid available with requirement for 2 days in office

We specialise in multiple areas of law including Commercial and Residential Conveyancing, Family Law, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Administration of Estates, Wills and Trusts, Inheritance Tax advice and Estate Planning, Elderly Client Services, Employment Law, Business and Company Law, Dispute Resolution, and Agricultural Law.
Key Responsibilities – role may vary depending on experience:
- Handling a broad caseload of agricultural and commercial property matters, including:

- Sales and purchases of agricultural land and commercial premises
- Agricultural tenancies (AHA and FBT)
- Option agreements, overage, and development land transactions
- Easements, rights of way, and boundary issues
- Refinancing and secured lending work
- Providing clear, practical advice to clients on complex property matters
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to business development
- Supervising junior team members where appropriate
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and firm standards
Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor (5+ years’ PQE preferred, but all senior-level candidates considered)
- Strong technical knowledge of agricultural and/or commercial property law
- Proven ability to manage complex transactions independently
- Excellent communication, analytical, and client-care skills
- A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to mentor others
- A genuine interest in the rural and commercial property sectors
