We’re back in Wells and open for appointments

Hayes + Storr, the North and West Norfolk solicitors, are back in Wells. As part of our commitment to our local clients, our legal services are again available in Wells at The Sackhouse, behind the new Maltings Arts Centre. There is disabled-friendly access and car parking.

We will be delighted to welcome back our clients with face-to-face meetings, with appropriate social-distancing, in these new modern premises. Even though our former premises on The Buttlands closed when Boris ordered lockdown back in late March, we have continued to work throughout the time of Covid-19.

Personally, as an ‘IT immigrant’, I can say that it has been a crash-course in office technology and modern working methods. I don’t think that I have ever worked harder or been busier. As a firm, we have invested a 6-figure sum in new technology to ensure that we can all work remotely from home and in a more agile manner from our five main offices.

We are delighted to announce the launch of two weekly legal surgeries at The Sackhouse, Wells Maltings. Our lawyers are able to see clients between 9am-1pm on Tuesdays and Fridays regarding any individual, family, property or business legal matter. We will  continue to offer home visits to our clients who need or prefer them.

The new surgery will be (wo)manned, primarily, by two fully-qualified lawyers on a regular basis. Stephanie Connor (a solicitor who handles all property matters, and knows the area well) will be there on Tuesdays. Laura Weston (a local girl who specialises in elderly client matters as well as Wills and  probate) will attend on Fridays. They are both Wells residents. Laura has been with Hayes + Storr for 21 years and Stephanie for 10. John Newham, an experienced Wills and probate solicitor,  will use the new office to see his clients too. They will be the same familiar faces who have looked after the people of Wells and the surrounding area for the past decade and more.

Other specialist lawyers will be available for consultation in a wide range of other fields: family and matrimonial, employment, dispute resolution, company and commercial.

To ensure Covid-19 security, we are asking our clients (and would-be clients) to book an appointment to see us on 01328 710210 or email: law@hayes-storr.com.

We look forward to our continued work in Wells and the surrounding area.

It’s great to be back!

Miranda Marshall, Director, Hayes + Storr.
