We’ve got a good gin going…

Between the 1st and 3rd of September we’ll be celebrating the third birthday of one of our very special locals – The King’s Arms in Shouldham.

In their first three years, they were awarded CAMRA West Norfolk Pub of the Year 2016, and in 2017 awarded ‘Contribution to the Community’ by the local authority. Then, last but not least, they had just about enough space on the mantelpiece for the ‘best example of community ownership’ award for the whole of the East of the UK by the Plunkett Foundation. Not bad for such a young age… but overall, their greatest happiness, and ours, remains that they were able to save this mighty local and create West Norfolk’s first community owned pub.

This year, the celebrations take the form of their annual beer/cider/gin and music festival over the weekend of 1st-3rd September on the green. Look out for the brand new Black Shuck Blush Gin of which H+S are very cheery sponsors. We look forward to another great weekend of music and merriment! Come on down…we’d love to see you.
