Read moreJim joined Hayes + Storr in 2000 and became a partner in 2007. He is now the director responsible for the Holt office and is Head of the Property department.
Jim specialises in property law including agricultural, commercial and residential conveyancing.
Having gone to school in Paris, London and North Devon, Jim went on to study philosophy at Kings College London. He has a particular interest in ethical and political philosophy. He did a post graduate diploma in law at Kingston University before going on to the College of Law.
After leaving Law school Jim worked for the Hoxton Trust Legal Advice Service providing housing, benefits and immigration advice. He then went on to work as a political researcher for a local Norfolk MP. Jim got back into law working for a West End music and media law firm before joining Hayes + Storr.
Jim is a keen sportsman and plays hockey for Norwich City Hockey Club, cricket for the Nocturns and tennis at the Cromer Tennis Club. He sails on the Broads and is a member of the Norfolk Punt Owners’ Club. He also enjoys skiing and is a member of the Norfolk Ski Club.
Jim, who is married with four children, spent much of his childhood in Norfolk and now lives just outside of Holt.

Susan qualified as a solicitor in 2005 at US firm Jones Day and specialises in commercial and commercial property matters with a focus on agricultural law.
Susan returned to Norfolk to live and bring up her children on the family farm and worked in commercial property at a local law firm for four years before joining Hayes and Storr.
