Mediation Services
In additional to our business and individual client services, Hayes + Storr proudly offer a fully comprehensive and diverse mediation service.
Whether it be in-person, remote or hybrid mediation, we are able to assist people in conflict to resolve their differences whilst avoiding the commonly regarded inefficiencies and discrepancies with court proceedings here in England and Wales.
This service is led by Gino Ballestracci, a Senior Associate in our Litigation & Dispute Resolution team. Having attained internationally recognised accreditation from the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR), Gino has extensive experience of the mediation process and understands the vital role mediation plays in resolving a variety of disputes. Gino is also a registered member of the Civil Mediation Council.
With over 15 years’ experience in complex, high-stakes disputes in both the private and public sectors, Gino is particularly trusted in the private wealth disputes sphere involving high-net-worth individuals, families, executors, trustees and beneficiaries. He is known for cutting through complexity quickly and helping parties focus on what really matters: reaching workable, proportionate outcomes while preserving relationships where possible. He has also been recognised in the Chamber & Partners’ High-Net-Worth Guides for 24/25 and 25/26.
Please note: Gino does not undertake standalone family mediation or workplace mediation.
What is mediation?
Mediation is an entirely voluntary and confidential process that helps people resolve conflict in a constructive and respectful way. Guided by a neutral and professionally trained mediator, each person has the opportunity to speak openly, be heard and gain a better understand of the other’s perspective.
Unlike court proceedings, mediation is flexible, informal and focused on practical solutions rather than blame. This process creates a safe and supportive environment where concerns can be explored, misunderstandings clarified and common ground identified.
At its heart, mediation helps transform conflict into constructive dialogue, enabling people to move forward with greater clarity, respect and understanding.
